Healing the Heroes Who Defended Our People Peace of Mind brings IDF combat units together for an intensive therapeutic retreat, guided by professional trauma therapists, in a warm and supportive Jewish community. The program gives soldiers the space to process their experiences together, strengthen resilience, reconnect with one another, and return home with renewed strength. Since 2019 Leading the Way in San Diego In December 2019, Torah Life Center – Chabad Carmel Valley established the San Diego chapter of Peace of Mind, becoming the first Jewish community in the region to bring this remarkable program to Israeli combat soldiers. Our success opened the door for other Jewish communities throughout San Diego to host their own Peace of Mind retreats, allowing even more soldiers to experience healing, support, and the embrace of a grateful Jewish community. Since then, our local Peace of Mind team has proudly helped other communities launch their own retreats by sharing our experience, assisting with planning, and supporting fundraising efforts. Today, under the leadership of Nina Brodsky, our team continues to mentor and support communities across San Diego, helping bring healing to even more of Israel's heroes.
